JACK Quartet and Pianist Shai Wosner Perform at The Frick Collection

The JACK Quartet performed with pianist Shai Wosner at The Frick Collection’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Auditorium in New York. The concert took place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. EST.

The program included works spanning from the Renaissance to the present day. It opened with Henry Purcell’s “Fantasy upon one note” in an arrangement for piano quintet. This was followed by Ruth Crawford Seeger’s “String Quartet 1931,” Wolfgang Rihm’s “Interscriptum” for piano quintet, and “Miserere, after Nathaniel Giles” by JACK Quartet violinist Christopher Otto. The second half featured Amy Williams’s “Cineshapes #2,” George Benjamin’s “Relativity Rag” for solo piano performed by Shai Wosner, and concluded with Thomas Adès’s “Piano Quintet.”
